Weekly Task List to Protect Your System From Spyware, Virus, and Trojan Infection

1) Update Your Firewall and Virus Program Signature Files.
The method depends on the Firewall/AV product on your system.
We recommend Norton/Symantec Internet Security.
2) Do ALL Microsoft Windows Updates !
The link to Microsoft Update page is found by clicking 'Tools' at
on the top line for MS Internet Explorer, then clicking
'Windows Update', then click 'Scan or Custom Install' and
do ALL updates.
3) Do Spy Blaster Signature Update
Using 'Download Latest Protection Updates',
click 'Enable All Protection'
Note: when this software is first installed click
'Tools' then 'Host Safe', and then click 'Create New Backup'.
Followed by clicking 'System Snapshot' then
'Create new System Snapshot', followed by
clicking 'GO'

4) Do Malwarebytes Quick Scan
To do the scan click programs then click Malwarebytes
then click 'Update' tab, then
then click
'Check for Updates'.
When this is complete, click 'Scanner' tab,
then 'Perform quick scan',
then 'Scan'
If MalwareBytes is not loaded on your system,

5) Do SpyBot Search & Destroy Download Scan
To do the scan click programs then click SpyBot
then click 'Search For Updates', then all
Update check mark boxes, then click
'Download Updates'.
When this is complete, click Search & Destroy,
then 'Check For Problems'
If SpyBot is not loaded on your system,

6) Do Windows Defender Scan
To do the scan click programs then click Windows Defender
then click scan
If Windows Defender is not loaded on your system,
or can not be found in your program list

7) Do ALL Microsoft Office Products Updates !
(If Office Products are installed on your system)

followed by 'Check for Updates'
do ALL updates.
